Chocolate and bacon, two of life’s most sinful pleasures, come together in this decadent, savory, and sweet recipe. Skewering the bacon allows the chocolate to adhere well to the meat, though it is not necessary. If you work without the skewers, simply cook the bacon flat in a pan, transfer to parchment paper, and brush on the chocolate.

INGREDIENTS

8 bacon slices
11⁄2 tablespoons coconut oil
3 tablespoons unsweetened chocolate chips or pieces
1 teaspoon stevia, or other sugar substitute

PREPARE

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Skewer each bacon slice accordion-style.
  3. Place on a baking Put the sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for 15 minutes, until crisp.
